The Panama Papers. The Leak of Capitalism

Offshore banking as part of the global capitalistic system is not new and its use by the wealthy elites for tax evasion and tax avoidance is not new. The Panama Papers leaked, however, provide us with some insight into one of the tax havens in Panama as represented by the firm known as Mossack & Foseca.

We introduce and explore the specific issue of Mossack & Foseca in the Panama Papers leak but also take a look at global offshore banking in general. With our host Kuddus Ali and guests Nizal Hussain and Shahadat…. we look at how widespread this phenomenon is and what are the fundamental causes of this.
